eReceipts

eReceipts are the convenient new service provided by Hertz, making the rental experience more efficient. A PDF Version of the receipt will automatically be sent to the email address aligned to the Hertz Gold profile, within 30minutes of the rental agreement closing.

Express Return Services:

Return the car to the indicated return area and complete the express return slip which is included in the printed Rental Agreement. The Customer Should state the return time, return mileage, indicating fuel was purchased and the final fuel level.

The keys should simply be left in the ignition, with the eReceipt placed in the dashboard or these can be passed to one of our employees. The rental contract will then be closed and a PDF eReceipt will be emailed to the customer within 30 minutes.

In the event of a location being closed, the customer should drop the key and E-Receipt form into the Express return box. As soon as the location opens, the rental will be closed. 

Please note that if you are returning to a location that is closed, all charges will continue to accrue until the location reopens for business.

Please note that if you book using a Gold profile, you do not need to process an online check-in, as the personal details relevant to the rental (e.g. driver's license number, etc.) will be already saved within your profile and automatically attached to the rental.

Hertz Instant Return

Is your customer in a hurry and doesn’t have much time to return his car? Then please advise your customer to use our Instant return.

During peak travel periods, Hertz representatives equipped with hand-held computer terminals will greet you upon return of your car and provide a fully computed receipt, in less than a minute. All rental charges will be applied to the credit card presented at the time of rental. You can also input your frequent traveller number at the time of return.

This service is available at selected locations in Europe, North America, Canada and Australia.
