Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
Collision Damage Waiver is an optional service which reduces the financial liability for loss or damage to the Hertz vehicle and its parts and accessories. This is providing that the vehicle is used in accordance with the terms and conditions of the rental agreement. CDW can be mandatory in some contract or preferential rates. There will be an own risk left in case of damages - the amount is determined by the car class and location. Your customer is financially liable in case of damages when this insurance has not been accepted.
CDW is brought into action when your customer experiences damages to the rented car. This is why you should always advise your customers to accept this insurance.
Please note: CDW is not available for additional equipment such as; Hertz Neverlost, Child seats, ski-racks, etc.
